October Camp 2023

Winter is coming!
Our fantastic winter camps begin with training in Hintertux. October camps are a great opportunity to get back into higher speed skiing and put some mileage under the feet in wintery conditions.

Travel

Flights are with Ryanair from London Stansted

Flight times are:
Outbound:
Saturday 21st October STN - SZB 07:35
Inbound:
Saturday 28th October SZB - STN 10:35

U16s can be accompanied - you need to buy a ticket and then attach it to our member of staff's booking.
We will pick up from the airport and travel to Hintertux.
There will be a van travelling out in advance from Norwich and equipment can be placed in this if needed for a small charge but there is no van returning at the end of the camp.

Lift passes

You will need to buy a ski-pass for this camp. It’s not included in the cost but we will order them in advance.

The SuperSkiCard covers our winter season. It covers three glaciers (Kitzsteinhorn, Mölltal and Dachstein) and 87 different ski resorts. For those with more than two children, the third child on is free when bought with an adults pass.

It's very good value and if you're planning on skiing over ten days, pays for itself. Check out the prices here. The GB races before and after New Year in Austria are also covered with the same pass and we will train extensively in and around Salzburg using the pass all winter (including the run up to the English Champs and any SkiX races we attend later in the year).
The pass runs from now until May 2024.

The first week of the camp is not covered by this pass - 2008 and younger is currently €127,- for six days (about £100). Click here for more details about Hintertux lift passes.

Cost

We are committed to offering great value and amazing experiences. Our camp cost includes everything apart from the flights and lift pass.

All food, training (on and off snow), video, pastoral care, school work support (if needed please let us know) is included.
The cost for the 1 week camp is £1390 .

Outliers

Outliers are very welcome. (This means someone who is not staying with us and is providing their own transport). The cost for outliers on this camp is £90 per day.
We will arrange to meet on the mountain and outliers would have to arrange their own lunch.There are lots of great places to stay in and around Hintertux or Mayrhofen.
We will keep you informed of what we are up to and what the plans are.

Important bits

You will need to have appropriate insurance cover for ski racing and training. Snowsport England and Scotland sell insurance via their websites. Other options are available if you shop around.

We will send you our 'Athlete Information' sheet - available at our Policies page so that we have the various consents.

We will also ask you to fill in the Travel Consent forms for crossing international borders.
