Aim of the camp

This camp is about mileage. We will ski a lot. To get better at skiing, you need to ski. Many camps will offer you lots of gates but not much variety. This training camp is all about versatility on skis.

We will aim to make the most of the conditions available and give athletes the opportunity to gain as much experience as possible. There will be long days on the hill using as much terrain as we can. We will ski terrain parks, off piste routes, challenging parts of the mountain and anything we can find to help make us better on skis. Ski racers have to be able to do everything on skis and that’s what we want to improve.

We will be based out of Zell am See, meaning that we can use the glacier at Kitzsteinhorn, nip round the corner to Saalbach, Resterhöhe, Altenmarkt and also zoom round to Flachauwinkl to visit the Absolut Park, one of the best freestyle arenas in the world.

Schoolwork

If anybody needs to do schoolwork during the camp then we will ensure that it can be completed in a quiet and supported environment. Please let us know.

Skis

Take your GS skis and some off-piste/park skis. If the conditions are hard pistes, with cold nights then we will ski around at speed. If it dumps with snow, then we’ll ski powder and discover some of the many ski routes around. No slalom skis needed.

Extra activities

We will aim to go swimming and ice skating during the week (This is all included in the cost)

Insurance

Please make sure that your insurance covers terrain park activities and off-piste skiing.
